I love getting my hair done.
Once a month, Mom takes me to the spa to get it done. For a few hours, I sit on the table and get pampered. I walk into the spa with my hair wild. I walk out with a fresh cut and soft fluffy hair blowing in the wind.
The moment Mom and I pull into the parking lot, I start barking with excitement. And once we get out the car, I find myself running straight to the door. There’s nothing like a fresh new hairstyle to get your day started.
You see, I love my hair. It’s like no one else’s. Sometimes it’s curly. Sometimes it’s straight. And, sometimes it doesn’t have a clue of what it wants to do. However, It’s mine. I used to dream of having hair like the dogs I see in magazines and on TV, but I learned that my hair is mine for a reason and I should be proud of it.
It took me a minute, but I finally got there. As I became more confident about my poodle hair, I fell more in love with watching it do its thing.
I always believe that a fresh new hairstyle or a bold new look can make any woman (human or pup) feel like she can conquer the world. Ever notice how good you feel walking out of the spa? I always find myself walking a little taller, strutting a little longer and whipping my hair back and forth (thanks Willow Smith!).
In the words of Coco Chanel…
“A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.” Share on XHowever, I’ll take it one step further. Whether we decide to cut, color, highlight, sleek it or simply keep it the same, our hair shows the world how we are evolving.
For centuries, hair has always been a form of self-expression. It expresses our emotions, heritage, culture and individuality. I’ve also come to realize that our hair can be an outward reflection of how we take care of our inner-selves. Ever notice how great hair days align with how great you’re feeling on the inside?
More importantly, our hair is a part of our journey through this lovely life of ours. And, like seasons our hair changes with every new phase of life we enter into. When I was a puppy my hair was super straight, but now it’s curly. I can almost guarantee that your hairstyle has changed since you were little too.
So be proud of your hair and wear it the way that you see fit. Our hair doesn’t define us, however our hair is definitely an extension of our beautiful journeys. So…
These Pumpkin Blueberry Muffin Pupcakes are dedicated to the beauty of our hair and the journey our hair goes through with us.
And of course, we believe that every pupcake has a love story. So, while your favorite pup is PUPPY LOVIN’ on these pupcakes, we’d love to hear from you.
