The One Lesson Diddy Taught Me About Accumulating Wealth

How do you define wealth?

I’ve been asking myself that question a lot lately. Is it lying in the warm sun on the deck? Is it jumping into a huge pile of unmatched socks? Or, is it chasing squirrels until my little legs are tired and I run out of breath?

It wasn’t until today that I realized that it’s actually all of the above, and more.

Wealth is a huge portfolio…of stories.

It’s those stories attached to all of our memorable experiences we have in our lifetime. It’s the experiences we learn from, love to share, and even the ones we’re embarrassed to even talk about. Wealth is that portfolio of experiences that shape our values.

So, how do we go about building our wealth?

It’s easy. Define your currency. And once you’ve done that, focus on building your currency portfolio. Now, here’s the thing. Everyone defines currency differently. There’s financial currency, social currency, and even artistic currency. No matter how you define it, the key is more than building a portfolio, it’s also diversifying it.

Portfolios actually take time to build. They take work, focus, and dedication. In the process you’ll learn from your mistakes, make adjustments, take some risks; but in the end you’ll come out more knowledgeable than ever. Through it all you’ll be able to look back and see the growth in not just what you’ve learned, but also your portfolio itself.

It’s like Diddy always said…

“Don’t chase the paper. Chase the dream.” Share on X

The dream will keep you focused. And, the currency will flow to you without hesitation.

Right now, my currency portfolio game is strong. I’ve been building and diversifying for years. My currency portfolio consists of blankets, balls, and toys that can fill a whole basket. However, the biggest assets in my portfolio are, of course, PUPCAKES.

I’ve watched my pupcake portfolio grow, and each one is attached to a story. And, those stories make me feel like the wealthiest little pup in the world.

These Strawberry Shortcake Mini Bundt Pupcakes are dedicated to defining our wealth and building our currency portfolio.

And of course, we believe that every pupcake has a love story. So, while your favorite pup is PUPPY LOVIN’ on these pupcakes, we’d love to hear from you.
