Sugar Does Brunch With These Strawberry Parfait Pupcakes

Strawberry Parfait Pupcake homemade dog treat recipe perfect for Sunday brunch

The world of a pup business owner can get a little lonely sometimes.

Especially when you’re just starting out.  You’re constantly working on some project, developing a plan or attending some meeting in order to get your pup business off the ground.  And on top of that, the only person setting deadlines and getting things done is you.  So, guess what?  If you don’t do it, it doesn’t get done.

Don’t get me wrong.  Pup business ownership can be a wonderful thing.  Especially if you’re passionate about what you do and absolutely love working on your craft.  However, the only pups that can really understand what this life is like are other pup business owners.

That’s why I was so excited when one of my friends and fellow pup business owners, Ginger (Gee for short), invited me out for brunch.

“Finally!”, I thought.  I can finally spend some time with a pup that understands.  Now, all of my pup friends and family support me.  However, very few of them understand my passion for my pup business.  So, sometimes they just don’t get it.

At brunch, Gee and I talked about all things pup business ownership.  We talked about our goals and aspirations for our business.  We shared resources that we found helpful.  We laughed about how many pupcake recipes I completely messed up while trying to get my menu together and Gee showing up to a meeting at the wrong location.  We even shared the strategies we used to work on building our pup business without our humans finding out.

Somehow, we even managed to get into a brainstorming conversation about products and services we can both implement into our pup business model.  Before we knew it, 3 hours had gone by, the pup restaurant was completely empty and the servers were cleaning up the brunch buffet.

It dawned on both Gee and me, that we definitely need to do this more often.  As Richard Branson stated…

Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you.

That goes for pups too.  So, Gee and I decided to set up a series of monthly meetings.  Where we’d have time to catch up and check in with each other to make sure that we’re hitting the deadlines we established for ourselves.

Our monthly accountability meetings helped out tremendously.  Not only did it reduce the loneliness a solo pup business owner feels from time to time, but it also gave me a chance to hang out with a pup that gets it.  It gives us the chance to brainstorm ideas for both businesses.

Whether it’s pup business ownership or working on any other goal, accountability meetings are a great strategy to help you achieve your goals.  It gives anyone a great sense of community and a chance to interact with likeminded pups who know exactly how you feel and what you’re going through.  And, that community will help you work through those hurdles you come across in your journeys and celebrate with you when you win.

These Strawberry Parfait Pupcakes are dedicated to surrounding yourself with pups (and humans) that bring out the best in you.

And of course, we believe that every pupcake has a love story.  So, while your favorite pup is PUPPY LOVIN’ on these pupcakes, we’d love to hear from you.

Who brings out the best in you?  Or, how has having an accountability partner helped you as you work towards achieving your goals?
