Let’s bark about “crazy ideas” and making plans.
A year ago, today, I was sitting in my pupcakery wondering what was next for my business. The world slowly started opening up and getting ready for the holiday season. And, I was ready to go into the new year with a new pupcake state of mind.
But, what did that look like? What was my next step? I honestly had no clue. So, I did what I do best. I took it to the pupcakes and let them do the barking.
A few weeks prior, I was mapping out a new recipe for New Year’s Eve. My BFFs and I were going to have a low key party, and we needed a few treats to add to the menu. I spent hours in the kitchen trying to come up with right recipe because I wanted to go into the new year with something different. And, today was the day I finally got it right.
My Soul Holiday Pupcakes were the final result.
These pupcakes were perfect for ringing in the new year with good intentions and blessings. Especially, after all that was 2020.
As I put the finishing touches on each pupcake, On The Run by Jay-Z & Beyoncé started playing from my playlist. If you don’t know, music in the kitchen while I’m baking pupcakes is my thing. I don’t care what any pup says, music while baking adds to the flavor.
After the song went off, that phrase On The Run, kept playing over and over in my head. When all of a sudden, I was hit with my next “crazy idea” for the new year.
I should launch my own pupcakes machine that would allow pups to grab their pupcakes when they don’t have time to physically stop into Pupcake Sugar. And, I called the Pupcakes OTR (On The Run) Concierge. But, my “crazy idea” didn’t come together by osmosis. In the words of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry…
A goal without a plan is just a wish.
So, I spent the next several months researching, building, and executing a plan to launch my Pupcakes OTR Concierge. I’d never done anything like this before. And, I honestly didn’t know how or where to start. But, after months of digging, I finally figured it out.
Pups can now use the Pupcake OTR Concierge 24/7 a day. Whether they’re on their way to work, looking for a late-night snack, or even need a few pupcakes to bring to that last-minute BFFs night in they’re going to, the Pupcake OTR Concierge is here. And, of course the Collard Green & Black-Eyed Pea Pupcakes are on the menu as they are the inspiration behind the concierge.
It’s true what they say. Every “crazy idea” needs a plan. A plan is the only way that anything we’re looking to achieve will work. Even if we have to change the plan as we go. So, let’s dish about it for the new year.
