5 Foods to Bring to Your Next Virtual Spa Party

5 foods to bring to your next virtual spa party

I never watch the news.

Ok.  That’s not true.  I do watch the news regularly.  How can I now?  Between my TV, bark messages and the articles that pop up on my timeline, it’s almost impossible to ignore the fact that things got really real almost overnight.  Never in a million years did I think that I’d be quarantined to my house for weeks.

Don’t get me wrong.  I’m all for getting in on a TikTok challenge, and I’m down for these social distancing memes.  However, in an effort to preserve my own sanity, I had to take a break from all of it for a minute.  All of the new developments were making me more fearful than hopeful.

So, rather than focus on all of the uncertainty, I decided to come out of this quarantine better than I was going in.  In other words…

Focus on where you want to go, not where you currently are.

I decided to dedicate myself to increasing my skills and knowledge that’ll make me a better business owner and better pup all around.

This week, I’m all about creating my self-care routine.  Why not?  I have the time to actually think about it. Plus, once this quarantine is lifted, I’ll definitely be busier than ever.  So, now’s the time to really be proactive with how to take care of myself as I journey my way through pup business ownership.

Today’s self-care routine is dedicated to making sure my outer glow matches my inner pup spirit.  And what better way to do that than to create my own Pupcake Facial routine.

THE UP ALL NIGHT

There are many times where a one-hour project turned into an all-night brainstorming session.  The life of a pup business owner often leads to a night or two when you don’t get much sleep.  Especially, when you’re in the middle of a new launch.  However, that up all night hustle can’t take away from your day time glow.  No pup wants to buy pupcakes from someone who looks sluggish with huge grocery bags under their eyes.  So, a nice blueberry facial combined with these Blueberry Peanut Butter Smoothie Pupcakes is my solution to looking refreshed, energized and well rested.

THE GLOW UP

As we grow in our business, we get better, wiser, and even “crazier.”  Let’s face it.  The more “crazy ideas” you bring to life, the more courage you have to work on a new one.  And as we become more successful, the more appearances we make to share our “crazy ideas” with the world.  So, in preparation for that glow up coming your way add a little honey to your at-home facial routine along with these Sweet Cake Pupcakes.  Because success is always sweeter when your face is glowing in all those pictures you’re posing in.

THE WIND DOWN

As a pup business owner, you’re always busy.  There’s always a new project, meeting, conference call, or event to go to.  However, on those occasions when I get a moment to myself, I thoroughly enjoy my time to relax.  In fact, I’ve been known to draw myself a bubble bath when my human isn’t home.  And my secret bubble bath ingredient is none other than a little oatmeal.  There’s nothing more calming that an oatmeal bubble bath and some of these Apple Maple Oatmeal Muffin Pupcakes.

THE EFFORTLESSLY RADIANT

If you haven’t guessed it.  I’m constantly on the go.  Not to mention the fact that I’m creating a whole pup empire right under my human’s nose, which is not as easy as it sounds.  So, I don’t always have a lot of time to do a complete skin care routine.  However, I still want to look radiant without looking like I tried too hard.  So, my solution is adding a little broccoli to my soap and these Broccoli Ginger Pupcakes With Peanut Butter Cream Frosting to my lunch bag.

THE PAW RUB

I’m on my paws all day.  Not to mention that I have no problem rocking a pair of heels.  However, when I get home from Pupcake Sugar, those “dogs” are barking.  I mean, of course they are.  Have you seen me in a pair of heels?  I look good.  However, I still need to relax and soothe these paws of mine.  So, my solution is these Carob Peppermint Pupcakes With Peanut Butter Frosting after I massage my paws with a little peppermint paw scrub.

In my mind, there is no one right or wrong way to practice self-care.  As long as you’re taking care of your pup mind, body and spirit, you’re winning.  And while we’re in quarantine mode, we might as well create a pup self-care routine that will benefit now and after the quarantine is over.  So, I’d love to hear from you.
