5 Ways to Win Pup-dulting This Week

5 Ways to Win at #adulting this week

Sometimes pup-dulting seems like nothing but a million little things that add up to one barking to-do list.

Don’t get me wrong.  I don’t mind the occasional stop at Woof Foods on my way home.  And, I’m even cool with doing a little laundry while I snack on these Mango Blueberry Parfait Pupcakes.  In fact, yesterday I found myself reveling in the fact that I actually put my clothes away after I took them out the dryer.

Am I the only pup that leaves her clothes in the basket for a few days?  Don’t be ashamed.  No judgement here.  Anyway, the point is that I’ve grown used to this pup-dulting thing.

However, when my pup to-do list starts to get as long as a CVS receipt, I have to refocus.  Or else, nothing will get done.  If nothing else, this pup business owner life has taught me one thing.

Small wins can definitely go a long way.

In fact, those small wins often add up to the bigger triumphs.  So, in honor of small wins leading to big victories, here are 5 simple ways to win pup-dulting this week.

SCHEDULE THAT APPOINTMENT

Remember that appointment you need to make?  You know?  It’s the one written on the sticky note on your lap-top.  Or, the little red notification that’s still sitting on your phone.  Before you check Pup-stagram for the fifth time this morning, schedule that appointment.  I promise you.  Getting rid of that notification will really make you feel like you’re sitting on top of the world.

TOSS OUT OLD PEANUT BUTTER

You know that old jar of peanut butter you forgot was in your fridge?  Or, how about those carrots that you had every intention of eating, but didn’t feel like cooking them?  Get rid of them.  As a pupcake baker, I store a lot of ingredients in my fridge.  And, quite frankly I need my shelf space to be clean and organized.  Getting rid of old food will give you more space in your refrigerator.  Cleaning out your fridge not only keeps you organized, but it also helps you assess how to budget better for your groceries.  Because if you’re constantly tossing out old food, you probably shouldn’t be purchasing as much.

CLEAN UP YOUR PUPPY CORNER

My space at home is very limited.  There’s a limit to where I can hide certain equipment, materials, and other resources I’m using for my pup business.  So, there are times where my hiding places become a bit cluttered, and I end up digging around trying to find exactly what I’m looking for.  It’s a wonder my human hasn’t gotten suspicious.  However, I do know how to organize my puppy corner when I find it getting a little too cluttered.  Organizing my puppy corner helps me feel like I have a better handle on this pup-dulting thing.

SPREAD A LITTLE LOVE

A simple bark-versation with one of your favorite pups goes a long way.  There are many days when the pressures of pup business ownership and pup-dulting can become overwhelming.  However, a simple bark with my BFF, boyfriend, or any one of my favorite pups always makes me feel better.  Especially, if I can woof out a good laugh or two.

DRINK WATER

Yes.  Water.  Every pup should make sure they’re getting enough water.  Because you can’t win this pup-dulting thing if you’re feeling…well…a little dehydrated.  Not to get all Dr. Dolittle on you, but drinking water helps maintain a healthy heart rate and blood pressure.

Winning pup-dulting is a lot easier than it looks.  All you have to do is focus on the simple wins, and those big things will take care of themselves.  Believe me.  However, I’d love to hear from you.
