How a “Crazy Idea” Turned into a Major Glow Up

self-care ideas

Sometimes the best “crazy ideas” come from the most unexpected places.

Like the “crazy idea” I got during my weekly Virtual Spa Day with my BFF.  This year has been a lot.  However, these weekly Pup Self-Care Sundays have been the glow up sessions we didn’t know we needed.

In fact, someone once asked me, “Why do you get to Pupcake Sugar so early?”  It’s not because I’m passionate about what I do.  It’s not to get a head start on whatever pupcakes I’m baking for that day.  It’s not even because that’s the life of a pup business owner.

It’s our time to yap about our week, relax and get inspired by all our “crazy ideas.”  I’m actually amazed how many “crazy ideas” we’ve yapped into fruition and the number of self-care routines that have come out of our weekly sessions.

Like the time my best friend Cynn announced that she finally decided to turn her “crazy idea” into a reality.  She’d been barking about starting her own interior design pup business for years, but “never had the time.”  She was finally ready to stretch and live out her “crazy ideas” beyond her work cubicle.  The moment Cynn said that…

My newest “crazy idea” hit me like the aroma of fresh peanut butter after you crack the seal of the jar.  And I call her, THE SUGAR CUBE.

The Sugar Cube is my new creative space at Pupcake Sugar.

The Sugar Cube has been a game changer for me.  What once was a desk and chair in a side office has become my personal space to get creative, breathe in some good vibes and my solution to winning my mornings.  Who knew a few plants, some pops of color and an inspiration board could turn a dull room into a creative oasis.

Before my phone starts ringing off the hook, the sudden burst of emails or another decision that I have to make, The Sugar Cube is where I get my quiet time to paws, reflect and hear myself think.  The way I see it…

My boundaries are not up for discussion.  Respect my space.

In fact, someone once asked me, “Why do you get to Pupcake Sugar so early?”  It’s not because I’m passionate about what I do.  It’s not to get a head start on whatever pupcakes I’m baking for that day.  It’s not even because that’s the life of a pup business owner.

I get here early so that I can spend some quality time in my Sugar Cube without any interruptions.  A chance to do whatever I want without explaining why.  So, if I decide to do a few doga stretches, bark a long to my favorite song, or nothing…absolutely nothing, that’s my business.

Creating The Sugar Cube has been the best glow up gift I’ve given myself this year.  But, I’d love to hear from you.

What’s your best glow up gift you’ve given yourself this year?

Please share in the box below.

And for all my Sugar Mamas, there’s more morning tea for you to sip on right in your inbox.  So, let’s dish over pupcakes, shall we?

Did you miss it this week?  No worries.  There’s more tea to spill and pupcakes to taste at Sugar’s Dish.
