It’s barking summer and the outside is open.
One more time for the pups who didn’t hear me. It’s barking summer and the outside is officially open. What better way to celebrate this season than being outside.
So, allow me to introduce you to “The Let Out.” Pupcake Sugar’s first ever summer block party. This right here is your personal invite to the cookout. After the last year we had, us pups need the chance to get together, bark out loud, and wobble together in harmony.
At “The Let Out,” it’s all about empowerment, music, and of course, pupcakes. It’s all about the vibe. Did you catch it? So, basically…
Don’t adapt to the energy in the room. Influence the energy in the room.
“The Let Out” was another “crazy idea” of mine I got during my morning walk. I had no idea it was going to start trending so fast. I was just ready to get out of the house. One post on Pup-stagram turned into the ultimate day party and an unexpected family reunion. I haven’t seen my cousin Cane in years. It only took a pandemic, quarantine, and a Pupcake Sugar jammy-jam to get him to make an appearance.
Honestly, that’s what I love about summer and “crazy ideas.” You can expect the unexpected, which always leads to an amazing story and some cool photos. I’m still vibing off “The Let Out.” But in case you missed it, here are some of my favorite moments.
WE GOT TO WOBBLE
When’s the last time you got to wobble with your BFFs in real life. Those virtual parties are dope, but a wobble ain’t real unless I can give my good sis a paw while we’re weeerrking it on the wobble floor.
WE GOT SUMMER BLOCK PARTY CHIC
When we pups show up, we show out. Periodt. Every pup stepped on the scene day party chic with a dash of Sunday Brunch realness.
WE GOT TO TASTE SUGAR WATER SALAD
What would a Pupcake Sugar summer block party be without pupcakes? That’s like mac with no cheese. Why even bother? So, “The Let Out” was all about these Sugar Water Salad Pupcakes. Inspired by my trip to New Howleans and one of my favorite summer fruits, these Sugar Water Salad Pupcakes were a big hit.
WE GOT TO EXPERIENCE THE PUP ART & BUSINESS
Shout out to all the Brown Sugar Mamas building their businesses and turning their passions into profit. We see you and are proud of you. “The Let Out” had some amazing pup art and businesses in the booth area.
WE GOT TO SHAKE THE SHOULDS
Let me tell you. I haven’t hula hooped in years. But, I had a chance to shake the shoulds and weeerrk my hips at the hula hoop station. Nothing like a good hoopin’ session with your BFFs to spark joy.
