The 5 Must Haves for Summer Concert Season

The 5 Must Haves for Summer Concert Season #summerfestival #curlfest #madeinamerica

Guess who’s coming to my city?  Bruno Paws.

Yes.  Bruno Paws.  He’s one of my favorite pup-formers, and I try to get to his concert every time he’s in town.  Last time, however, I missed his concert because…well…finances.  It honestly came down to spending nudges on my “crazy pupcake idea” or spending nudges on a concert ticket.

Before this pup business owner life, I might’ve chosen the latter.  However, when you’re a new pup business owner, every little nudge counts and sometimes investing in yourself means you may have to put some of those short-term luxuries on hold.  So, Bruno was going to have to wait.

This time around, I got my tickets.  My BFFs and I are ready to weeerrk our tails at Bruno’s concert next week.  There’s only one little issue.

I have to sneak out of the house without my human ever finding out.

You’d think I’d have that down to a science by now.  I mean, really.  I own and operate a whole pup business right under my human’s nose and she hasn’t noticed a thing, thank goodness.  The difference is that my human isn’t home during the day and I know her work schedule like the back of my paw.  So, it’s easy for me to time my pup business hours and work around my human’s schedule.

However, at night she’s home relaxing.  And, it’s pretty hard to disappear for a few hours, when she’s sitting on the couch right next to you.  Luckily, I’m always down for a “crazy idea.”

Crazy ideas create legendary stories.

So, my BFF’s are all set to make it to this concert.  And, for all you Bruno Paws ticket holders looking for your exit strategy without your human ever finding out, here are five things you’ll need to sneak out the house.

A PLAN

Anytime I’ve ever tried to sneak out of the house without a plan, I’ve failed miserably.  Who knew that stubbing your paw could make such a loud bang?  So, I always have an escape plan.  More importantly, I make sure I practice my escape plan.  This way on the night of the actual concert, I’m comfortable with it.  There’s very little room for error in these situations.

A PILLOW

It’s old school, but it works.  It always helps to put a pillow in your bed and cover it with the blanket.  At night, the pillow will look like you’re sound asleep in your bed.

A PUPCAKE

Yes.  Pupcakes work here too.  Especially, these Strawberry Carob Chip Pupcakes.  One, they’re the perfect midnight snack.  Two, there’s always that one dog in the neighborhood that wants to ruin your concert plans because he can’t go.  So, they bark as loud as they can waking up the whole neighborhood.  But, I’ve learned that sharing a few pupcakes with Sir Barks-A-Lot is the best distraction.

A PURSE

If your human catches you in your concert outfit, she’ll definitely get suspicious.  Plus, running in my outfit might cause me to get really sweaty.  I’m definitely not showing up to a Bruno Paws concert smelling like a wet dog.  So, I store my outfit in my purse and change into it once I’m out of my human’s site.  This way I can be cute walking into the concert.

A PHONE

I don’t go anywhere without my phone.  However, at the concert I use it to keep track of time.  I want to make sure I’m back before my human wakes up in the morning to avoid suspicion.  And since it’s a concert, you can definitely catch me and my BFFs waving our phones in the air as we woof along to Bruno.

I love Bruno Paws, but I’m also a big fan of concerts.  It’s one of my favorite ways to get out of the work mindset for a little bit and have some fun.  So, to all my pup concert lovers out there, I’d love to hear from you.
