The One Mantra Every Multi-Hyphenate Woman Needs In Her Life

I’m a snuggler.

Always have been. Always will be. From the moment Mom brought me home for the first time, I’ve absolutely enjoyed snuggling in her lap.

Honestly if anyone is up for a little puppy love, I’m always open to snuggling in their lap. When there’s more than one person in the room, I’ve even been known to hop from lap to lap in an effort to spread the puppy love around.

This lap hopping became overwhelming the first time my grandma came to visit. I spent the first 10 minutes jumping from her lap on one couch to Mom’s lap on the other couch. Thirty seconds here, 2 minutes there, and a minute snuggle there.

It can become exhausting trying to please everyone all at one time, even if you’re a ball of energy like me. Finally, I decided to go in my own corner and chill after several minutes of trying to please both of them.

As I was laying there, I thought to myself “Sugar, you’re taking on entirely too much.” I realized that I had to let Mom, grandma, and anyone else looking for a quick snuggle know “I love you all, but there’s only so much Sugar to go around. I can only snuggle in one lap at a time.”

It’s a nice mantra don’t you think? I may be a pup, but I’m a female pup. I’m a “she;” a “her;” a woman. And like every female on this planet, I don’t care what species, we’re natural multi-taskers. We spend our lives nurturing the ones we love and have the superpower to juggle a million different things at once.

Some of us have so many slashes after our name that it’s amazing how we can make our lives look so effortless. Take me for instance, I’m a storyteller/chief pupcake taster/daughter/snuggler/puppy lover/sock connoisseur/any other title I feel like fulfilling at any given moment.

Believe me, each one of those titles takes a certain level of time, dedication and responsibility. And while embracing this natural multi-hyphenate lifestyle may be our superpower, if we’re not careful, we could start feeling overwhelmed and feeling like life is just one big blur.

The real secret is to not only embrace the juggle, but to also own it. How do you own it?

LIVE IN THE MOMENT. Take all those projects “one lap at a time.”

When you’re at work, focus on being amazing at work. When you finally get a much-needed girls’ night out, enjoy girls’ night out. When you’re working on that 5 to 9 side-hustle, put those 9 to 5 worries to the side. And, when you’re snuggling with your favorite pup, focus on the puppy love and snuggle on. Time is our most precious resource. Living in the moment will help you get more accomplished and feel like you’re in control.

As for me, when I’m in Mom’s lap I focus on giving her the best puppy love I can. When I’m snuggling with Grandma or anyone else I do the same. And, when I’m in the midst of playing with my favorite slipper or indulging in a pupcake I focus on that only.   So…

These Carob Blueberry Mini Bundt Cake Pupcakes are dedicated to owning your to-do lists, your day, and your life.

And of course, we believe that every pupcake has a love story. So, while your favorite pup is PUPPY LOVIN’ on these pupcakes, we’d love to hear from you.
