“Look, it even has pocket!”
CONCERT SEASON
Sugar loves concerts. She’s been going to concerts since she was her puppy. In fact, her mom took her to her first concert when she was a puppy. A few years ago, Sugar and her BFFs, took a trip to see Biscotti in concert for their annual Gotha Day trip. So, when he announced he was going on tour, Sugar knew she had to be there.
Until she saw those ticket prices. “Wait…how much?” Sugar barked to her BFF Cayenne on the phone.
Owning her own pupcakery was Sugar’s dream. While her pupcakery was doing well, she was still a new business owner. And that came with a lot of new responsibilities. So, Sugar’s budget was a bit tight. And, unfortunately, spending that much on a concert ticket wasn’t a priority.
YES…BUBBLES
So, Sugar decided not to go. She’d just watch dogs’ videos from the concert on social media. Sugar was disappointed that she wasn’t going to the concert, but her spirits were lifted when she got the call for a new business opportunity.
Her curlerist, Beet, recommended Sugar’s pupcakery to another one of her clients, Melon. She needed some treats for the garden party she was giving to launch her new bubble line, Love Pops. So, she scheduled a pupcake taste testing with Sugar to discuss a menu.
“Yes. Bubbles.” Melon barked to Sugar during the pupcake taste testing. “I launched Love Pops to encourage dogs to get out of the house, play, and howl with each other.” Sugar loved the idea. Especially, since she still sits outside to relax and blow bubbles.
The bubbles are even editable. Each bubble has a pop of flavor. Melon got that idea while watching her puppies playing around with another brand of bubbles. They loved popping the bubbles with their tongues every time a bubble floated toward them.
“And…” Melon barked to Sugar as she pulled out the Love Pops bottle to show her. “Look it even has pockets.”
TASTE TESTING
“Oh cool.” Sugar barked. “That’s where you store the bubble wand.” The Love Pops bottle was peanut butter flavored. Which gave Sugar an idea for Melon’s garden party menu.
“How about we create a peanut butter themed pupcakes?” Sugar barked. “We can get real creative with the peanut butter pupcake flavors.“ Sugar even thought of the idea to have the flavors and pupcake wrappers match the bottle, bubble wands, and the cute pockets on the side of the Love Pops bottle.
“I love that idea.” Melon barked. So, Sugar walked to the back of her pupcakery kitchen to get some pupcakes for Melon to taste.
By the end of the taste testing, Sugar and Melon agreed on five pupcake flavors for the menu. Melon’s favorite flavor was Cane’s Classic Quencher Pupcakes, which was inspired by Sugar’s brother, Cane, and she keeps in her Yappy Hour recipe journal.
Melon had so much fun at the taste testing that she even gave Sugar four tickets to attend the event. So, of course she invited her BFFs Cynnamon, Ginger, and Cayenne to come with her.
LOOK, IT EVEN HAS POCKETS
Sugar, Cynn, Cayenne, and Ginger all got fancy for this garden party. Not just because they were going to a garden party. But because it was Sugar’s first catering opportunity since she opened her pupcakery. And because Sugar and her BFFs love a good theme, they each wore these cute dresses with pockets to match the Love Pop wand pockets on the bottles.
They all had an amazing time blowing those bubbles too. “This is cool.” Ginger barked. “Honestly, how often do you have the chance to get together with your dogs and just blow some bubbles?” And the bonus? Sugar and her BFFs got to relive their puppyhood by sticking out their tongues to taste the bubbles.
The pupcakes were amazing and the DJ was good. He played all the hits, including Biscotti’s songs from his concert set list. So, even though Sugar didn’t get the chance to go to Biscotti’s concert, she still got to cut up, dance, and sing along to his songs with her BFFs. Which is always good for the soul.
