Sugar Dishes On Pupcakes & Chill With These Cranberry & Peanut Butter Pupcakes

Valentines Day homemade dog treat recipe for Cranberry & Peanut Butter Pupcakes

I finally got the chance to sleep in today.

For the first time all year, my calendar’s free and I have nothing to do.  No pupcakes to bake.  No meetings scheduled.  And since Pupcake Sugar is closed for the holidays, I don’t have to wait for my human to leave to open up the bakery.

So, this morning there were no alarm clocks.  No snooze buttons.  Just the gentle touch of the sun shining through my window to wake me up.

Now, I’m a pup who loves to be in the mix.  I was never the type of pup that could sit still, and I’m always looking for something to do.  Not because of pup FOMO, but because I love adding new stories to my portfolio.  I’m also super organized.  So, if it’s not on my pup schedule, it’s not happening.

However, today is different.  The Pupcake Sugar bakery is closed until the new year.  Every pup I know is on vacation.  And, my human is working at her job for the rest of the week.  So, today it’s all about me, my favorite blanket and catching up on my favorite shows.

This is what I like to call a Pupcakes & Chill type of day.

We all need those days from time to time.  A day when we’re not running errands, taking care of pup business, or trying to figure out our human’s schedule so we can work out our own.

As a pup business owner, my life revolves around a clock.  My pup mind is always thinking about “What time do I have to be somewhere?”  “What time will my human get home?”  “When will I get this finished?”  “When can I start this project?”  And, more importantly, “How long will it take me to get this project done?”

Between the working out, going to the spa, and even getting in some quality BFF time, pup self-care can get a bit cumbersome to manage because it means I have to actually be somewhere by a certain time.  So, when I tell you I’m grateful for this day of rest, I mean it.

In fact, I was so inspired, that this blog post is literally about my excitement for having nothing to do.  So, I’m hoping that you use this holiday season to as William Wordsworth stated…

Rest and be thankful.

May you spend this time being thankful for the simple things in this pup life.  And more importantly, may you have at least one day of a free schedule to give you the chance to rest, snuggle in your favorite blanket and participate in a little mindless pup behavior.

I even decided to get extra decadent with my pupcakes today.  Why?  Because, I can.  And, it’s only fitting when you’re celebrating the fact that you can chill all day.

So, these Cinnamon Roll Pupcakes are dedicated to a day full of Pupcakes & Chill behavior.

And of course, we believe that every pupcake has a love story.  So, while your favorite pup is PUPPY LOVIN’ on these pupcakes, we’d love to hear from you.
