Sugar Goes Back To School With These Peanut Butter Pupcakes

Back to School homemade dog treat recipe for Peanut Butter Pupcakes

When I graduated from Huffton University, I actually thought I was done with school.

I trotted across that state knowing in the back of my mind that school was over forever.  No more tests.  No more listening to professors bark through their boring lessons.  And most importantly, no more late-night study sessions with pups to get ready for a presentation we put off until the last minute.  I was definitely wrong.

Graduation was when the school of “pup-dulting” began.

In the school of “pup-dulting,” you figure out everything on your own.  And, ironically enough there’s no real “how to” guide to get you to the answer.  You never fully prepared for a test and the only grades you receive are pass or fail.  I hate to break it to you.  Also, every pup is graded on the curve.  We’re all compared to the pup that came before us.  And, that’s the reality.

In school, I didn’t learn about the importance of pup credit.  Or, even how to pick out the right pup health insurance policy.  I especially didn’t learn how to properly put together a business plan, which would’ve been really helpful when I was developing my Pupcake Sugar idea.

However, the one thing I definitely needed to learn most was how to successfully manage my nudges.  You know?  That important pup currency that all of us pups need to finance our lives.

In this time of rising living costs and running a pup business venture, I decided it was time to really get serious about my nudges.  I’d done pretty well with my 20 nudges out of each paycheck, but now I knew it was time to take it a step further.

I sat down and listed all of my short-term and long-term financial goals over the next 5 years.  As Coco Chanel stated…

There are people who have money and people who are rich.

So, I got really reflective about what being “rich” and “wealthy” meant to me.  I realized that if I wanted to reach my goal of being “rich” and “wealthy” then I needed to get proactive about my finances now.  Living the “rich” pup life takes a few nudges.

I also knew that being “rich” and “wealthy” wasn’t going to happen on a whim.  I was going to have to start like every “rich” pup before me and learn.  Simply put, I had to go back to school.

I took a few of those nudges I saved and signed up for my first investing class.  So, there I was, back in school.  However, this time I wasn’t sitting in a boring room listening to the teacher bark about something I’ll never use in real life.  This time there’s purpose behind every lesson.  The professor was barking information that would help me invest in my future.

More importantly, I was with other pups that were interested in the same thing, which made those class bark-versations much more interesting.  I could actually apply those bark-versations from class to situations I experience in real life.

Going back to school wasn’t a walk in the park.  This pup was definitely out of practice.  However, it was worth it.  This investment class was more than just a lecture, it was the beginning of me working towards my future pup self.  And, that was definitely worth it.

These Peanut Butter Pupcakes are dedicated to finally taking that course that’ll help you work towards your dream goal.

And of course, we believe that every pupcake has a love story.  So, while your favorite pup is PUPPY LOVIN’ on these pupcakes, we’d love to hear from you.

    • Hi Michelle. I’ve never shipped the pupcakes before, so I’m sure how they’d hold up for a week in the mail. However, I’d try freezing the pupcakes first, wrapping them in wax paper and foil before packing in the shipping box. I’d also put an icepack in the box as well. That might help them stay fresher while they are in transit.
