Joy is a practice. And, I’m intentionally finding new ways to practice it every day. Like this past Sunday. It rained all day, so Sugar and I spent most of the day snuggled up on the couch binge watching Netflix while I finished washing my clothes. I’d plan to bake some pupcakes, but Sugar and I were quite comfortable chillin’ with no agenda. Luckily, I had a few extra pupcakes in the freezer. So, this month we’re highlighting these Blueberry Oatmeal Muffin Pupcakes inspired by practicing joy on a rainy day and finding a few extra pupcakes in the freezer.
WHY WE LOVE THESE PUPCAKES
It’s the blueberries. Blueberries are considered a superfood for dogs. They are full of fiber and antioxidants, which make them a great treat. Plus, the they store very easily in the freezer, which means you’ll always have a few saved for a rainy day.
WHEN TO BAKE THESE PUPCAKES
These pupcakes are a quick and easy recipe to bake when you’re in the house during a rainy Sunday. Your dog will not only love them, but it’ll give you something joyful to do while your washing clothes and waiting for your twist-out to set. And if baking during a rainy day isn’t your thing, these pupcake are great to bake and keep in the freezer for your dog to indulge in during those rainy days. Especially, if you’re trying give your dog a treat for making it through the thunderstorm.

Although I love to bake, baking fresh pupcakes every day isn’t an option. So, I always store a few pupcakes in the freezer. This way I’m always prepared for a rainy day.
